Gong Yoo Graces 7 Magazine Covers Across Asia

'Goblin' actor Gong Yoo recently opened up about his privacy on CNN International's 'Talk Asia'. It was announced last month that the actor scored an exclusive interview with CNN, which was originally slated to air at the end of April. The special was moved to a later date and will be finally broadcasted on May 25.

Gong Yoo sat down and got candid with Anna Coren last April 3. On Monday, a short snippet was released online by CNN where he shared his dislike for paparazzi. In the short clip, the famous actor disclosed that he absolutely hates it when he's being photographed without his consent. When asked what he misses about 'normal' life, the 'Train to Busan' star said that he misses going out without being snapped by cameras.

"I like going out to have street food without being disturbed," Gong Yoo told CNN, "I want to walk around freely in crowded places." He further shared that he misses going to the beach, which he cannot do anymore due to his popularity in Korea. According to Gong Yoo, "It's been so long since I went swimming at the beaches in Korea. I can't go tanning either because everyone just takes photos of me."

Gong Yoo then admitted that it drove him crazy when people took photos of him and talked about him on social media without his consent. "It's the camera. I hate it." The actor emphasized, even mentioning Instagram as a platform where busybodies gather together and comment about him and his personal life.

The CNN interview came after the success of the popular TV drama 'Goblin' and worldwide zombie blockbuster 'Train to Busan'. Gong Yoo also recently received the best actor award at the 53rd Baeksang Arts Awards, further cementing the actor's mark as a big name in the South Korean entertainment industry.  It is quite clear that Gong Yoo values his privacy, but now that he's reached global stardom, it will be quite a tall order to wish for a quiet life.
