Israel Will Deploy 10,000 Policemen In Anticipation Of Donald Trump’s Visit
May 15th, 2017: Donald Trump, President of USA plans on going for a 2-day trip to Israel. Trump plans on visiting Jerusalem and Bethlehem during his visit. Trump will arrive at Israel's Ben-Guiron Airport on the 22nd of May. The president then plans on flying to Jerusalem via helicopter.
In anticipation of Donald Trump's visit, Israel has decided to deploy more than 10,000 police officers to secure the area. Donald Trump will be staying at the King David hotel in the historic city of Jerusalem.
According to local sources, the president's convoy will consist of 56 vehicles, among which 14 are heavily armored limousines. Donald Trump's hotel suite in the King David Hotel is also being fitted with bulletproof glass and other security measures.
Major traffic disruptions are expected during Trump's visit to Masada and Bethlehem, hence he is expected to fly over the area in a helicopter while being escorted by the Israeli Police and the IDF.
Trump has indicated that the US does not plan on moving the country's embassy to Jerusalem. This has upset the Palestinians and sparked a bit of controversy among the public about Donald Trump's peacekeeping measures.
According to Benjamin Netanyahu, who is the Prime Minister of Israel, "moving the American embassy to Jerusalem would advance the peace process by correcting a historic injustice and by smashing the Palestinian fantasy that Jerusalem is not the capital of Israel".
The US is yet to make a move on whether it wants to relocate the US embassy or not. Israel meanwhile has made exceptional preparations for Donald Trump's arrival and probably expects the same treatment in return.
