T-ARA Disbandment: T-ARA Thanks Fans In A Tear-Filled Final Performance In Taiwan
Even though the week leading up to their concert in Taipei was filled with a lot of drama and controversy, T-ARA managed to pull off a successful show as a six-member group for the last time. Taking the stage for the last time made it a very emotional for members of the K-pop girl group and their fans who sent their love by constantly chanting "T-ARA" to rally the girls.
According to a report by Koreaboo, T-ARA member Jiyeon became very emotional because of the combined thought of parting ways with fellow members Boram and Soyeon as well as the passionate reception of fans at the venue. "I knew everyone was passionate, but I didn't expect it to be this passionate. Thank you for being here with us today. Thank you," she said while trying to hold back tears.
T-ARA's Boram, whose contract expired along with Soyeon on May 15, also took the opportunity to express her feelings about the overwhelming fan support. She said that she will never forget her time with T-ARA for the rest of her life.
The Taiwan concert was the final time that T-ARA would be performing as a six-member group after Boram and Soyeon have confirmed that they will no longer be renewing their contracts with MBK Entertainment. According to the label, BOram and Soyeon will not resign with MBK beyond May 15 and will no longer be participating in the activities set for the group's upcoming album release on June 1.
Remaining members of T-ARA Hyomin, Jiyeon, Eunjung, and Qri have agreed to extend their contracts until December of this year and will appear in a showcase for the new album on May 31. They will also be busy with the domestic and international promotions of T-ARA's final album as a six-member group, Naver reported.
