'New Girl' Bids Goodbye After Season 7
Just recently, it was announced that "New Girl" would be renewed for another season on Fox. However, sources confirmed that the upcoming installment would be the last season for the show. Moreover, Fox is seemingly quiet with the allegations that the Season 7 would only run for eight episodes. What could viewers expect from the show?
According to Variety, the viewership rating of "New Girl" decreased drastically as time passed by. However, the show has been very dear to Fox as it has been a channel for Netflix, 20th Century Fox TV, MTV and TBS to work together. Not just that, the said show has been the longest-running comedy show in Fox that its bosses wouldn't want to let go of it. Moreover, the company didn't want to make any comments regarding the number of episodes of "New Girl" Season 7.
Hollywood Reporter admitted that the farewell of "New Girl" isn't a surprise at all as its creator Liz Meriwether has been very blatant of expressing how she longs for a new chapter. Other than that, Meriwether is allegedly working on Thin Ice, which would start on Fox real soon. Moreover, the cast of the show seems to be enjoying other career opportunities, despite the fact that "New Girl" would soon have its finale.
Other than that, the channel calmed all the show's fans as they admitted that new and exciting show would come this 2017. With that, it is believed that Fox would have to let go of some of its show to give way for another interesting storyline and brilliant characters.
The "New Girl" was created by Liz Meriwether and starred some of the Hollywood's brightest including Zooey Deschanel, Jake Johnson, Max Greenfield, Lamorne Morris and Hannah Simone. The show was launched way back 2011 and gained a lot of supporters because of its unique story and outstanding cast members.
