Mary Kate Olsen, Olivier Sarkozy Wedding: Venue Confirmed In Hamptons? Actress Sports Vintage Cartier Ring!
Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy are supposedly planning a summer wedding in the Hamptons next year, according to Harper's Bazaar.
The couple who have been dating since 2010 got engaged in March 2014. At 28, Mary-Kate's partner Olivier is 17 years her senior. He proposed to the "Full House" star with a vintage four carat Cartier ring from 1953.
The ring originally belonged to a Tennessee based jewelry collector and was auctioned in New York City. Estimated by Sotheby's at $40,000 to $60,000, the ring eventually sold for $81,250, revealed a StyleCaster source.
Mary-Kate is a fashion designer, author, former actress, and producer. In company with her twin sister Ashley, they co-founded luxurious brands such as couture label The Row, and Elizabeth and James; they have also, Olsenboye and StyleMint; these are their more affordable lines.
At only nine months old, the Olsen twins were cast on Full House, an ABC show which ran for eight years. The sisters also created Dualstar; a company which produced Mary-Kate and Ashley branded products. The sisters became co-presidents of their company on their eighteenth birthday, and moved up as co-CEOs in 2004.
In 2012, Mary-Kate Olsen started dating French banker Olivier Sarkozy; the half-brother of former French President Nicolas Sarkozy.
Olivier was previously married a Parisian, Charlotte Bertrand in 1997; a freelance author of children's books and fashion writer. The couple married in Nantucket, Masachusetts, and had a second wedding in France. The wedding was officiated by Sarkozy's half-brother Nicolas, who was then Mayor of Neuilly-sur-Seine.
The couple split in 2010, with Charlotte filing for divorce in New York. Bertrand requested that the pre-nuptial agreement filed in France be set aside. Betrand and Sarkozy was officially divorced in 2011.
Olivier Sarkozy is a father to Julien, and Margo. Mary-Kate Olsen will not have to adjust to motherhood; as she is already close to Olivier's children.
The couple plans to wed in June 2016.
