'Goblin' Tracks Dominate Best-Selling Singles List, Ailee’s ‘I Will Go To You Like The First Snow’ Nabs Top Spot
Many South Korean artists have released amazing tracks since the start of 2017 where some of these tunes even became chart toppers. Recently, the list of best-selling singles was unveiled that contained many songs from the "Goblin" soundtrack such as Ailee's "I Will Go to You Like the First Snow."
It appears that Gong Yoo and Kim Go Eun's fantasy series "Goblin" made a big impression on avid Kpop lovers. Four tracks from the said tvN drama's soundtrack nabbed a spot on the Top 10 list of best-selling singles for the year so far. Ailee's haunting song "I Will Go to You Like the First Snow" landed at number one with more than 1.3 million downloads, according to Koreaboo.
The Ailee sung track became of one the popular songs from the said drama's OST and even topped several local charts during its release. Apart from the said "Goblin" song, Crush's "Beautiful" came in at number four, while Sistar's Soyou's "I Miss You" nabbed the sixth place with 910,237 and 835,291 downloads, respectively. The last song from the said tvN drama's soundtrack that made it to the list is EXO's Chanyeol and Punch's "Stay With Me" with more than 800,000 downloads.
Apart from "Goblin" songs, other Kpop tunes that ranked on the said list includes Akdong Musician's "Last Goodbye" at second place with 1.07 million downloads, followed by TWICE's "Knock Knock" with 911,277 downloads. Bolbbalgan4's "Tell Me You Love Me" nabbed the fifth spot, with Red Velvet's "Rookie," Kwanghee and Gaeko's "Your Night" and Zion.T's "The Song" at seventh, ninth and tenth place, respectively.
In other news, "Goblin" actress Kim Go Eun will soon hold her first fan meeting. In an announcement released by the actress' agency, as obtained by Korea Herald, HODU&U Entertainment stated that the event will serve as the said celebrity's way to repay her fans for their support.
Kim Go Eun's fan meeting will be held on May 21 at the Sungshin Women's University Mia WoonJung Green Campus. Meanwhile, "Goblin" aired from early December 2016 until late January on tvN.
