The upcoming "Criminal Minds" Season 12 episode 22 will feature Reid's attempts to discover his kidnapped mother's location. Titled "Red Light," the said character will be forced to meet up with Cat Adams (Aubrey Plaza) at a correctional facility for women, according to episode spoilers posted on Spoilers Guide. The teaser clip for the upcoming "Criminal Minds" Season 12 episode 22 showed Reid inside a secured room at the women's prison and immediately asking Cat to reveal his mother's location. However, Cat will prove to be a tough opponent who might break Reid's delicate psyche. Another scene from the said promo clip featured an enraged Reid forcing Cat to tell the truth while the latter remains calm.
Meanwhile, Derek will return to the BAU to visit his friends in the upcoming "Criminal Minds" Season 12 episode 22. The former team member will even share vital information that will help in catching the elusive Mr. Scratch.
In an interview with TV Guide, showrunner Erica Messer shared that Derek's decision to approach his former colleagues in the upcoming "Criminal Minds" Season 12 episode 22 was due to the villainous Mr. Scratch's wide influence. Given how the said antagonist was unable to get to Hotch (Thomas Gibson) who is under Witness Protection, Scratch will instead focus his attention on the now civilian Derek. Messer added, "He did get to Morgan... That's still a little disheartening that Scratch can have so much reach."
will be released on May 10 on CBS. Watch a teaser clip below:
