‘Healer’ Actor Ji Chang Wook, Nam Ji Hyun Reveal Entertaining ‘Suspicious Partner’ Ratings Promise
Avid Ji Chang Wook fans have been looking forward to the upcoming premiere of the new SBS drama "Suspicious Partner." Recently, the "Healer" actor, along with co-star Na Ji Hyun and other cast members, shared what they planned to do for the viewers if TV ratings reach a certain percentage.
SBS is set to unveil its newest romantic comedy series that will feature the first onscreen pairing of Ji Chang Wook and Nam Ji Hyun. Titled "Suspicious Partner," Kdrama fans can expect to see funny moments mixed with a few suspenseful plot twists.
Given the ongoing trend among South Korean drama productions where the cast would typically do something special for the viewers to celebrate a successful run, the lead cast of "Suspicious Partner" revealed their planned treat for avid fans. In a recent V app broadcast, as cited by Soompi, the upcoming drama's cast Ji Chang Wook, Nam Ji Hyun, Hello Venus' Nara and Choi Tae Joon stated that they will gift lucky viewers with a coffee treat if viewership shares hit 15 percent.
Nam Ji Hyun commented that she always wanted to do a coffee truck treat and would even personally hand out coffee cups to fans if "Suspicious Partner" hits the TV rating target. Ji Chang Wook added that they can hold the coffee distribution at any area that viewers would want the cast to go. The drama's lead cast also promised to prepare a dance number to make the event entertaining.
In other news, "Suspicious Partner" will mark Ji Chang Wook's first foray into the romantic comedy genre. Many of the actor's projects had him portraying a character with a tough guy image such as the tvN bodyguard drama "The K2," the KBS series "Healer" and the movie "Fabricated City."
Despite Ji Chang Wook's lack of acting experience in the said genre, the "Suspicious Partner" director Park Sun Ho praised the said celebrity for his talent. In a recent interview, the filmmaker conveyed his satisfaction over "The K2" star's portrayal of his role in the upcoming SBS drama, Korean news outlet TV Report quoted the showrunner as saying.
"Suspicious Partner" will premiere on May 10 on SBS. New episodes will be released every Wednesday and Thursday.
