Samsung is rolling out the first Nougat update to the Galaxy A5 (2016) in Russia.

There is good news for the users of Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) smartphone. Samsung has now officially started rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update to the mid-range smartphones. It looks like the latest update is currently only available in Russia, but is highly expected to make its way to other countries in the coming day.

Samsung has started rolling out a new update to its Galaxy A5 (2016) smartphone. The latest update, which is reportedly arriving as firmware version A510FXXU4CQDK, brings Android 7.0 Nougat to the Galaxy A5 (2016) smartphone.

According to the GSM Arena, right now only Russian units are getting it in what looks like a soak-test of the latest Android 7.0 Nougat Update. If everything turns smoothly, the latest Android 7.0 Nougat update should hit other markets in a few weeks.

As expected, in the latest update the user interface matches what we've seen on the Samsung Galaxy S7 and other flagship devices. Sammobile is guessing the feature set is also similar although some are likely exclusive to the flagship phones.

Latest Android 7.0 Nougat update brings a ton of new features to the Galaxy A5 (2016). Nougat features include split screen mode and a revamped status bar along with bundled notifications and Quick Reply, just to name a few, as reported Android Authority.

As is frequently the case with OTA rollouts, it may take some time for the update to reach your device. If you don't see the update icon in your status bar, you can also check for the update manually by heading to Settings > About device > Software update.

This latest Android 7.0 Nougat update is big updates so do make sure you're connected to a Wi-Fi network before downloading it to avoid any potential charges from your carrier. The installation of latest update could also remove your all data, so it is advisable to have the backup of your device before starting the update.
