'Pokemon GO' News & Updates: Spawning Rate Increase, Legendaries, And A Pesky Malware To Be Wary Of
Niantic is still at it in rolling out new updates every now and then for their AR title "Pokemon GO." The developer has recently tweaked the game yet again that is in line with the monsters' attributes and spawning rates.
The above-mentioned update took over after the recently concluded "Pokemon GO" Easter Event. Avid players of the mobile game then noticed the changes suggesting that the latest patch made some changes with the monsters' individual values (IV) and move sets, according to Express.
The new "Pokemon GO" game tweak has been discovered to have given the critters different IVs and skill sets not to mention that such will be dependent on the player's current stat and level. Additionally, players who are residing in rural areas are also in for a treat as it was noticed that the new update has altered the Pokemons' spawn rate making them pop out more often than before.
Game Rant, on the other hand, has revealed that Niantic has something cooked up for "Pokemon GO" fans in celebration of the game's 1st anniversary. The game maker's CEO and founder John Hanke has hinted that the highly suggested legendaries will be gracing the game in a not so distant future.
Hanke gave a heads up though that Pokemons with that caliber should be taken with extra care as there will be limitations on how the creatures will be utilized within the gym. Details about the mentioned event including its rollout date are yet to be disclosed. Nevertheless, it is likely that it could go live sometime in July since "Pokemon GO" came to fruition on July 6, 2016.
Meanwhile, the blog site CheckPoint recently posted an article about a malware that has been plaguing several gaming communities including "Pokemon GO." The virus goes along with applications that are uploaded to Google Play that pose as tips and guides to some popular mobile titles including the AR game.
Once downloaded, the infected app will then unleash a so-called silent botnet that could allow hackers to gain access to the phone's sensitive information. To make it even worse, phone owners will be unaware that their device has been victimized by these cyber crooks. That being said, players are advised to veer away from such shady apps.
