OnePlus 5 Leaked Online With Launch In June, Aluminium Finishing Design Plus Specs & Features
OnePlus made the headlines last year, by launching its much-awaited OnePlus 3T smartphone. They later released a Midnight black variant as well, which was equally appreciated. The company is undoubtedly known to manufacture smartphones that come equipped with high-notch specifications in exchange for a highly affordable price. Now, the company is speculated to be working on their OnePlus 3T successor, dubbed OnePlus 5 and it is widely believed that the company might debut that smartphone anytime soon now.
An online report published by Deccan Chronicle claims that the OnePlus 5 will most possibly be flaunting a dual-curved screen. If this turns out to be true, then it will fall in direct competition with the Galaxy S8 device, which packs similar specs. Furthermore - on the display front - the device is expected to pack a 5.5-inch display with 2K resolution.
It was separately reported by The Indian Express that the OnePlus 5 is to feature a similar design as OnePlus 3T (Midnight variant). In other words, the device will pack aluminum finishing along with rounded edges. Apart from that, it was further confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus 5 device will even come with a fingerprint sensor, which will be embedded on the back of the smartphone, just like its predecessors.
Yet another report published by India Today states the reason why the Chinese company could possibly be skipping the number '4' and maybe moving on to '5.' It is believed that the number '4' is a bad omen. Therefore, the company decided to settle with calling the number 5. OnePlus 5 was even apparently spotted on a Chinese regulation website with the code number, A5000, thereby confirming the fact that the upcoming OnePlus smartphone will be called OnePlus 5.
As for the hardware of the device, the OnePlus 5 device will most probably be powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 835 SoC. The company may unveil the OnePlus 5 smartphone in June of 2017.
