Sandara Park Falls Victim To Instagram Hacking
Former 2NE1 member Sandara Park recently took to Instagram to address an attempt to hack her account. The "One Step" star shared a snapshot of her account as it was temporarily disabled due to the online attack.
According to a report by Koreaboo, Sandara tried to open her account @daraxxi but it was disabled. Her post showed the backdrop of her account in which all her posts were also missing from her Instagram feed. It appeared that a hacker was trying to access her account leading to the Instagram action.
It was a good thing that Sandara finally regained control of her account and all her posts remained untouched. She however addressed the hacker through a simple and concise caption. "Do Not Hack. Respect My Privacy."
It is unusual for Sandara Park, who is known to be one of the nicest celebrities in in Korean entertainment, to express displeasure over anything but it seems that the recent attempt to invade her privacy has really gotten to the singer and actress. Sandara is one of the most followed celebrities with 5.7 million followers and she considers her social media accounts important to engage her fans. She is known to interact with her supporters through various platforms, updating them on her whereabouts and projects. She also keeps a Line Diary in which she shares her thoughts about her work and her free time. These mediums have kept her close to the fans throughout her career.
Sandara Park is not the first celebrity to have her Instagram hacked but still, her appeal echoes that of other celebrities who are already sharing a lot about their lives through social media. Online attacks on their personal accounts is a violation not only of their privacy as individuals, but also the law.
Sandara is currently filming for the "Cheese in the Trap" movie adaptation and is gearing for the release of her own clothing line and solo album around the summertime. She is also set to launch her own youtube channel which will feature her various activities and adventures, Kpopstarz reported.
