AMD just released a chipset driver 17.10 WHQL on Wednesday. The new updated AMD Ryzen 5 1600X includes SenseMI, AMD's Balanced Power Plan, and many other features. The latest and fastest chipset of AMD is also available at just $499 which is a big threat for Intel.

The new Balanced Power Plan was previously available through download in early April. And the new drivers are only compatible with Windows 10 with 64-bit. AMD has stated that the new power profile for Ryzen 5 1600X included in the update offers better power management responsibilities.

AMD has stated that in Ryzen 5 1600X they have embedded an in-built feature called SenseMI that dynamically manages voltage and frequency to improve performance. But the only problem is, the processor needs greater control of power management than Windows or any other operating system. The update has balanced the powers between the processor and the operating system.

Furthermore, AMD facilitates that Ryzen 5 1600X users can run their computers by using Window's built-in high-performance power profile. The updates are provided in order to provide enhanced graphics for video game players as well as for video production companies. The processor's physical cores offer better response time when it comes to high-end graphics and videos.

AMD Ryzen 5 1600X's powerful performance, voltage usage and management, Balanced Power Plans now become the big threat for Intel. Intel has experienced whopping revenue of up to $8 billion in its first quarter. This revenue was even 6% higher compared to the first quarter of last year.

As reported by PC World, Intel's chips are now facing a serious competition from AMD's new Ryzen 5 1600X chip. Released last month, the latest AMD chipsets offer competitive performance at very affordable rates. AMD's fastest chip Ryzen 71800X is available at just $499 which is a way cheaper than Intel's Core i7-6900K available for $1089.

Although AMD Ryzen 5 1600X chips are available at half of the rates, Intel has claimed that the latest AMD chips are inferior to Intel's chips when it comes to performance. PC makers are now partnering with AMD for cheaper processors in order to increase their profit margin.
