Microsoft Surface Pro 5 and Apple iPad Pro 2 are ready to fight for the top spot in flagship laptop market. Both devices are early waited by the fans and reports suggest the gadget will come this year.

Back in 2012, Microsoft launched the Surface tablets thereby initiating a new era of 2-in-1 tablet devices. The concept was fresh and new and was certainly received by the audience in a positive way. Microsoft Surface books and laptops have been hitting it hard in the markets, taking on other giants such as Google, Lenovo and especially Apple. Rumors indicate Microsoft Surface Pro 5 and Apple iPad Pro 2 are going to sport ultimate specs and features.

Apple's iPad devices and Microsoft Surface Pros are thoroughly emphasized upon, in order to find out which one is better. According to a report published by CNET, Microsoft is expected to unveil a new Surface Pro 5 tablet this year. The device will reportedly come with an improved hardware and Windows OS along with some new additional features. At the same time, even Apple is preparing itself to take the plunge by bringing a new line-up of iPad Pro devices.

Reports suggest that even the Apple iPad Pro 2 is expected to pack 4K display and there are even speculations that the device might pack a new, hybrid 2-in-1 design along with the recently-introduced touch bar. While Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is also reported to feature the same display technology.

Microsoft as reported by Forbes, is believed to come in its traditional detachable form and will pack Intel's latest Kaby Lake Core i7. The device will also be packing a touch-screen stylus. In fact, several reports are even indicating that the touch stylus might just be replaced by a triple A or button cell battery with a rechargeable battery.

Both the devices might come by the end of the year. On the pricing front, the Apple iPad Pro 2's price is unknown, however; Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to be placed in the $899 to $1,599 category.
