Sony Xperia XZ Premium at Mobile World Congress

Sony Xperia XZ Premium was recently announced during the Mobile World Congress. With only days ahead of the high-end device's scheduled release, the company revealed its color variants, including other details.

Sony Xperia XZ Premium Will Be Available In Three Color Variants

Aside from the bronze pin color variant, Sony Xperia XZ Premium is also expected to come in Luminous Chrome and Deepsea Black tint. While the Japanese manufacturer is known for releasing pink smartphones, recent reports suggest that the company had doubts over the "bronze" moniker. However, the device will remain in pink color.

Sony Xperia XZ Premium, meantime, is the first smartphone that is able to capture slow-motion video through its impressive 960fps. Meanwhile, other specs include an IP68 dust and water resistance, a 5.5-inch 4K LCD screen and a USB Type-C.

Under the hood, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium is packed with a Snapdragon 835, 4GB of RAM and 64GB on-board storage with microSD card slot. The handset will also be supported by 3,230 mAh battery, and will run on Android 7.1. Meantime, the bronze pink variant is set to hit select markets in June, Khaleej Times reported.

Sony Xperia XZ Receives Android 7.0 Nougat

Sony Xperia XZ is getting Android 7.0 Nougat. Incidentally, Android 7.0 Marshmallow update has been rolled by Google three months ago for Google Pixel and Nexus, which suggest how quick Sony is in providing the maximum satisfaction for its customers.

Following this Android update on Sony Xperia XZ, a new set of features have also been added, which include app shortcuts and a new range of emojis. Meantime, Sony announce  that its built in launcher does not support the app shortcuts, which means that in case the feature fails to work, the user should not worry, since there are still other launchers such a the Action or the Nova launcher, Go Android reported.
