Nokia 9 Release Date & Price: Lack of Snapdragon 835 Might Delay the Launch of Upcoming Flagship
Nokia recently launched 3 mid-range smartphones that have successfully grabbed huge attention in the mobile world. The company has even successfully incarnated its iconic Nokia 3310 and now it is set for to launch its biggest and high-end flagship this year. The Nokia 9 release might be a big shock for high-end smartphone makers like Apple, Google, and Samsung.
In a recent report produced by Nokia Power Users, it is described that the upcoming Nokia 9 is expected to be launched in Q3 of 2017 for around 749 Euros and for $699 in the US. The premium price can be assumed against the high-end features and technologies offered by the company. The reports even mentioned that the upcoming Nokia 9 will be embedded with Snapdragon 835 which is rarely available now.
The availability of the latest chipset by Qualcomm might be a big reason for the Nokia 9 release date. Right now, Samsung Galaxy S8 is the only device that has incorporated with the latest chipset. The rest of the companies are yet to launch their products due to lack of Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 or they have to launch their products with the older version of the chipset. Chinese Smartphone makers like Xiaomi and Oppo recently launched their models along with Snapdragon 830.
Nokia 9 is expected to have a Quad HD 5.5-inch OLED Display, Adreno 540 GPU, massive 3800mAh battery with QuickCharge 4.0, 64/128GB of internal storage. The device will run on latest Android Nougat 7.1.2. The device will come with a 22MP dual lens Carl Zeiss rear camera paired with a 12MP front camera.
Besides the high-end specs, Nokia 9 is going to feature some of the coolest and on-going technologies of the world. The device is expected to feature iris scanner just like recently incorporate by Samsung in its Galaxy S8. Furthermore, the device will have fingerprint sensor, IP 68 certification for waterproof body and Nokia's iconic "OZO Audio" enhancements as a complementary delight.
