‘Mystery Queen’ garner highest viewership ratings, beats rival dramas ‘Radiant Office’ and ‘Saimdang, Light’s Diary’
KBS2's fan-favourite drama "Mystery Queen," also known as "Queen of Mystery," garnered highest viewership ratings beating other K-dramas airing in the same time slot. The popular drama series stars Choi Kang Hee as Yoo Sul Ok, Kwon Sang Woo as Ha Wan Seung, Lee Won Geun as Hong Joon Oh, Kim Hyun Sook as Kyung Mi, Yoon Hee Suk as Kim Ho Chul and Shin Hyun Bin as Jung Ji Won.
According to Soompi, the latest episode of "Mystery Queen" that aired on April 20 earned highest viewership ratings again. As per Nielson Korea, the episode garnered 10.9 percent ratings. It is worth noting that it is 3.9 percent higher than its previous episode.
"Mystery Queen" continues to top the charts. The detective series premiered on April 5 and topped the charts with 11.2 percent ratings, as per Nielson Korea (via Soompi). The series is gradually gaining popularity after beating SBS's "Saimdang, Light's Diary" and MBC's "Radiant Office" for viewership ratings. For their latest episodes, "Saimdang, Light's Diary" earned 8.3 percent rating and "Radiant Office" garnered 6.7 percent ratings.
"Mystery Queen" revolves around the story of a woman, who has the skills and talent of a detective. Yoo Sul Ok was leading an ordinary life after she got married to her husband, who is a prosecutor. She almost gave up on her dream to become a detective. Things take an unexpected turn when she meets Ha Wan Seung, who happens to be a detective. Considering Yoo Sul Ok's passion, Ha Wan Seung offers her to work with him. The duo collaborates to work together and solve crime mysteries in a unique manner.
"Mystery Queen" airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10:00 p.m. KST. The final episode airs on May 25.
