‘Fallout’ Cosplayer Mistaken As Bomber; Police Takes Him to Custody
A ‘Fallout’ cosplayer was mistaken by the community as a bomber that police had to take him into custody. The cosplayer from Grande Prairie, Canada was allegedly on his way to Bell Tower Plaza’s Lynn’s Alterations wearing his post-apocalyptic armor like the one in the game. The people who saw him on his way there has alerted many residents who immediately called the police.
According to reports, the cosplayer was walking through the town in complete “Fallout” outfit while carrying the new Republic flag of California. The outfit was so realistic that people reported him to the police. They complained they saw a suspicious person roaming the streets with a gas mask, bulletproof vest and a bomb on his back. This alerted the law enforcements so police were sent to his direction right away.
The cosplayer was found by the police in the alteration shop where everyone was asked to evacuate the area. Fortunately, no one was hurt and the “Fallout” cosplayer explained why he had to walk the streets in costume. He said he had to wear the complete outfit because he needs part of it altered. And the back gear that everyone thought to be a bomb was actually a Pringles can painted in silver.
However, for safety reasons, the boy had to be taken into custody regardless of the misunderstanding. The boy was later released without any charges and told him that there are a proper place and time when to cosplay. Walking in the street with such an outfit can send the whole community in panic mode which can potentially affect other citizens.
