The fandom is in elation as of late now that the teaser trailer for "Star Wars Episode 8 The Last Jedi" has been dropped. Albeit it's short duration, the sizzler reel is packed with details about what could happen in the third trilogy's final installment.

As promised, "The Last Jedi" trailer was finally shown at the Star Wars Celebration in Orlando where it was attended by thousands of Force driven fanatics. True to what most pundits have speculated, the two-minute clip has showcased most of what was predicted early on.

Aside from the expected Jedi training under the tutelage of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), the video also featured Rey (Daisy Ridley) gasping for air that as if someone has choked her, Gizmodo, reported. There was also a scene where she can be seen holding a lit up lightsaber while seemingly running towards an enemy. Other notable characters that were spotted include Finn (John Boyega), BB-8, Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie), and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver).

The most memorable scene though is where Luke can be heard saying what could be one of the most ominous statements in the "Star Wars" lore - "I only know one truth - It's time for the Jedi to end." This has sparked a deluge of talks and rumors over the internet of what he meant by that.

Korea Portal has reported beforehand that Luke will be having a crisis of faith after discovering that most of the Jedi relics that he gathered over the years were either fraudulent or has veered away from its main purpose. Such could be the reason why his nephew - Ben Solo/Kylo Ren left the Jedi faith and leaned towards the Dark Side.

Another plausible theory is that Luke could be establishing a new order where there will be a balance between the light and dark. A new faith being coined by some fans as the "Gray Narrative."

Disney has been noticeably pressing on such belief as it was evident in the season finale of "Star Wars Rebels" with Bendu as he introduced himself standing between the light and the dark. Moreover, the teaser for the "The Last Jedi" also hinted of such when Luke asked Rey on what she saw.

The latter replied "light" as a glimpse of Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) was shown. Rey then uttered "dark" while a broken helmet of Kylo Ren was featured on the video. Lastly, she spoke of the balance where the clip featured old tomes which some fans speculate that these could be the Journal of the Whills.

The movie poster of "The Last Jedi" seems to hint onto that perspective as it showed both faces of Luke and Kylo side by side while Rey is at the center with her arms raised holding a lightsaber. "Star Wars Episode 8" will be out on December 15. For those who have missed the Jedi Panel at the Star Wars Celebration including the teaser, fans may check it here:
