‘Designated Survivor’ Season 1, Episode 17 Promo, Synopsis: Journalist Abe Leonard Returns With An Explosive Story

One cannot keep journalist Abe Leonard quiet for a long time. He returns from the Middle East and this time he has an explosive story. The promo for "Designated Survivor" Season 1, Episode 19 entitled "The Ninth Seat" showcases what happens in the new installment.

Update: The promo for "Designated Survivor" Season 1, Episode 17 starts with President Kirkman telling the senators that they are a broken government. Meanwhile, Senator Jack Bowman informs the President that his staff is looking at the choice for the Chief Justice and they have made some "disturbing discoveries."

According to the synopsis for "Designated Survivor" Season 1, Episode 17, President Kirkman faces a great challenge in front of him to put together a new Supreme Court. Meanwhile, Agent Hannah Wells is undercover to find out more intel. But, she discovers something shocking and of a grand magnitude. Elsewhere, Seth Wright has to deal with Abe Leonard who is back from the Middle East. He has an explosive story to share with The White House.

"Designated Survivor" Season 1, Episode 17 official synopsis: "As President Kirkman struggles to put together a new Supreme Court, FBI Agent Hannah Wells goes undercover and discovers much more than she ever could have imagined. Meanwhile, Seth Wright has to contend with journalist Abe Leonard, who returns from the Middle East with an explosive story, on ABC's "Designated Survivor," SUNDAY, APRIL 19." "Designated Survivor" Season 1, Episode 17 brings back Mark Deklin who plays Jack Bowman, Virginia Madsen who portrays Congresswoman and Speaker of the House Kimble Hookstraten and Rob Morrow who plays Abe Leonard as guest stars.
