Apple Lost the ‘Best Laptop Brand’ Title to Lenovo in Laptop Mag Survey, Know Why?

Apple has lost its top spot for the best laptop in the world in a Laptop Mag Survey. The tech giant has fallen to fifth place in the recent survey. Apple has lost its first place for the best current laptop to Lenovo.

Recently, Laptop Mag has conducted a survey for the best and the worst current laptop brands. Since 2010, Apple has dominated all the laptop brands and topped the list with its outstanding MacBook lineup. But the tech giant is no longer ruling the best laptop brand list.

As reported by 9 to 5 Mac, factors like premium pricing and limited port options are highly contributed to Apple's overall performance recent years. Although Apple's quality tech support is a redeeming factor, the company has lost its best laptop brand title in 2017. Right now Lenovo is ruling as the best laptop brands following by Asus, Dell, and HP.

Apple and Acer are tied for the fifth place. Laptop Mag Survey has considered Apple's new MacBook Pro with touch bar which was launched in September last year. The laptop even has common complaints that users experience with the new machines. Besides, Apple has also raised the price of MacBook Pro with the new machines which further contributed to the cons of the device.

Although Apple has ruled in tech support, design and warrant coverage, the overall reviews of the laptop results into the downfall of the rankings in Laptop Mag survey. In order to regain its lost pride, Apple must consider its premium prices with hardware. Besides, Apple should consider its approach for using hardware similar to its revised pro notebook.  

It seems like the tech giant is currently focusing on its high anticipated iPhone 8 or iPhone X rather than upgrading its MacBook lineup. Tech freaks are predicting that MacBook prices will fall this year as the company is speculated to update its lineup with high-end configurations including 32G RAM.
