"Final Fantasy XV's" main protagonist Noctis.

"Final Fantasy XV's" main hero - Noctis has been hailed just recently by a Japanese publication to be highly favored by a majority of "Kingdom Hearts" fans to grace the game's next installment - "Kingdom Hearts III." Such result has been expected by fans of both franchises as the former has grown to become one of Square Enix's success stories as of late.

Famitsu magazine - as cited by Kingdom Hearts Insider, has recently put up a survey as part of "Kingdom Hearts'" 15th anniversary. The Japanese publication has rolled out a series of questions about the game and one of those inquiries asked "KH" players as to who they would want to see team up with Sora in the upcoming sequel.

Some fans are expecting to see "Final Fantasy XIII's" Lightning to on top of the said list. However, the result came to no surprise as well. Turns out, "KH" fans want to see Noctis from "Final Fantasy XV" to grace the "Kingdom Heart's next installment.

"Final Fantasy XV's" critical and commercial success sure dd paved the way in making its main character take the lead in the said survey. If such crossover comes to fruition, gamers of both franchises are wondering as to how would each of them help the other conquer some obstacles that hinder them in achieving their main goal, iDigitalTimes reported.

Other results in the mentioned survey include Aqua to be the most favored female character, the Oathkeeper to be the most likable keyblade in the series, the Twilight World to be the most favored world by players, Sora as the franchise's favorite character, and the secret boss - Lingering Will to the most favorite villain.

As of late, Square Enix has remained mum about "Kingdom Hearts 3's" release date. In the meantime, check out a video about the game here:
