OnePlus 5 Release Date Speculations & Update: All-Glass, Complete Matte Design, 8GB RAM, 3D Capture Feature In June
OnePlus 5 leaks surfaced last week, revealing some features suggesting that the next flagship is inspired by OnePlus 3T, which is believed to be among the best smartphones in the market right now. This may likely be the reason why the company opted to release the OnePlus 5 over the OnePlus 4, aside from the fact that the Chinese superstition believes that the number "4" is unlucky.
OnePlus 5 Will Come With An Interesting Design And Powerful Specs
The OnePlus 5 is expected to come in an all-glass or ceramic chassis design in a complete matte color called "black as midnight." According to reports, the new smartphone will continue the Colette edition of the OnePlus 3T to provide it with a premium look.
OnePlus 5 is also reported to feature a 5.5-inch dual-curved edge AMOLED FHD/2K display, including a high capacity RAM of up to 6 -8GB paired with a 64-128GB expandable internal storage. Moreover, the upcoming flagship is also believed to include a stunning camera of 25 MP rear and 16/12MP front, with rumors claiming that the new OnePlus 5 will likely come with a dual rear camera setup for a more efficient 3D and depth capturing ability, Techworm reported.
OnePlus 5 May Launch Middle Of This Year
The new OnePlus 5 is expected to come in either June or July this year, considering the release dates for the company's previous phones. Incidentally, OnePlus 1 was launched in April 2014, which was followed by the release of OnePlus 2 in July 2015 and OnePlus 3 in June 2016.
