Samsung Galaxy S8 appears to have the same similar physical qualities with that of Galaxy S7, given its screen that curves over the two edges, giving a complete bezel-free effect. But beyond the design, which clearly shaves off the extra spaces from top to bottom, the new device is comfortable to use one-handed.

With much space being secured at the top of the screen of Samsung Galaxy S8, the selfie camera is moved far to the right, along with the main speaker grill. On the other hand, the removal of the home button key at the bottom allows the screen to extend down to half a centimeter from the base. According to reports, this means that when the phone is held one-handed, less of the user's thumb reach is used to extend beyond a bezel, giving more way to navigate around the phone.
Samsung Galaxy S8's design, however, is believed to be not recommended for those with smaller phones, as the top left of the screen remains out of reach for all except for the large-handed users. Nevertheless, others believe that this is far more acceptable compared to its previous design, including the other huge change in the physical dimension - an odd 18.5:9 aspect ratio for the screen, which suggest a long, thin screen with more space for the main content, News Factor reported.

Set to release in the US this month, the new Samsung Galaxy S8 comes with a display screen that has been rated as the best ever on a smartphone. This is based on the tests made by a research company that deals with displays.
Samsung Galaxy S8's new display is the best one in the market today, according to DisplayMate Technologies, the company that regularly tests screens on the latest smartphones. Based on its report, the new flagship is the first in a new generation of OLED phones that comes with a Full-Screen Display design, along with several major and notable state-of-the-art display performance improvements, features including mobile OLED display technology, CNBC reported.
