Nintendo Switch Users Claim That Their Consoles Got Warped
The Bendgate curse that struck Apple's iPhone 6S in 2014 has taken a different form this year as it now plagues Nintendo's new Switch console. Owners of the hybrid platform also coined a different moniker for the said issue as Switch gamers call it Warpgate.
Quite a number of Switch owners are complaining as of late with what is happening with Nintendo's latest console as they notice that the handheld is somewhat bent or others call it warped. A Redditor and also a Switch owner that goes by the username _NSR took to the said forum site to raise such concern and even posted a photo of his warped console, BGR reported.
Other Switch gamers allegedly hurried in checking their own units only to discover that they were also struck with the same misfortune. However, there are some within the forum who laid some possible causes as to why their consoles got deformed. One of the most plausible reasons is due to prolonged use.
_NSR did admit that he is a heavy player of "The Legend of Zelda The Breath of the Wild" adding that he plays the game for long periods of time. Additionally, he stated that he lodges the console into its dock which could have contributed to its warped state.
Another Redditor and Switch player with a username Magnaha23 claims that he too experienced a console meltdown. However, the Reddit user highlighted that his Switch unit's bent state is a bit subtle as compared to _NSR.
The Redditor then raised such concern over on Nintendo's customer care claiming that the company hotline quickly set up a fix for his Switch. Magnaha23 further explained that he got a so-called prepaid label for overnight shipping and went on saying that once the unit was received by Nintendo, the repair could take several days, according to Independent.
