BlackBerry Returns

Do you remember the ill-fated BlackBerry PlayBook which was released 6 years ago? The tablet looked for a moment like it might grab good attention from at the consumer market. But the tablet just couldn't survive the competition from the giant retailer Amazon.

ZDNet's Matthew Miller promised the consumers that they will forget the Amazon Kindle Fire as the BlackBerry Playbook was the new best low-cost table. But their promise just could not enough for the consumers to fulfill their expectations regarding the innovation and latest technologies. And it messed up with the Amazon Kindle as well as with the iPad lineup.

BlackBerry PlayBook was released since during the rising era of iPhone and iPad. But the device ended up going nowhere just likes the other BlackBerry devices. In 2013, BlackBerry has shipped more than 2 million post card sized devices at the significantly decreased price, but all efforts are in vein.

Recently, John Chen, CEO of BlackBerry just shared his thoughts about reviving the old tablet BlackBerry PlayBook. As reported by Cantech Letter, John Chen is talking about licensing out BlackBerry's name for someone else to make a table. It may be a small change to the BlackBerry users, but for the company, it has huge differences.

BlackBerry has recently release KEYone which is an android Based phone with physical keyboard. Although the phone failed to get a huge attention it is mattered a lot for the company. For the first time, the company has seen a little momentum when it comes to the sales and getting attraction in the consumer market.

The company has experienced the rise in stock after the launch of recent devices. The credit goes to the CEO John Chen's long-term plan to transform Blackberry from a company that sells increasingly low margin hardware to a company selling more profitable software and services. We are hoping to see the company to strengthen its roots in the tablet market soon.
