'Star Wars' News: James Van Deer Beek Finally Reveals Truth Regarding Anakin Skywalker Speculations
"Star Wars" could have had nearly a different star in the role of Anakin Skywalker and it seems like James Van Der Beek was reported to be talking the iconic film character prequel trilogy. It can be recalled that this is a role that went ultimately to Hayden Christensen.
James Van Der Beek never told to anybody about it at that time and with the latest news, it seems like he recentkly discovered that he was in the frame to reveal about this. He even shared that his dream role when he was a kid would have been the Anakin Skywalker in "Star Wars."
Then the actor added that he could not just do "Star Wars" during that time since he was also doing Dawson's Creek. But James Van Der Beek went on saying, as reported on Express UK that he just heard speculations which led him to believe that it was actually a conversation that happened on the same level.
With this, James Van Der Beek also expressed that there may be actually some truth to it but he is still not certain about it. This was because his availability to play Anakin Skywalker in "Star Wars" was not there at the time.
Apart from James Van Der Beek, Leonardo DiCaprio and even Ryan Phillippe ware also touted to play Anakin Skywalker at the time. However, ultimately it was Hayden Christensen who played the role in "Star Wars" Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith.
Meanwhile, fans of "Star Wars" have already witnessed a lot of evidence of Kylo Ren's emotional obsession with the Dark incarnation of his Skywalker ancestor. But it seems like there was a physical change right at the end of "The Force Awakens."
Further, it has been reported also that "Star Wars" will tease more of Darth Vader's castle in the upcoming and future movies. In the "Rogue one: A Star Wars Story," fans are treated to a lot of planet hopping and one of the most significant of these was a visit to his castle as per Digital Spy.
With this, aside from the revelation of James Van Deer Beek, it looks like there is a possibility that future "Star Wars" films will all go back to the fiery base of Sith Lord. This seems to be interesting since the production is doing a lot of history exploration.
