It seems that there might be some good news for fans of "Rick and Morty" as IMDB has updated the animated series' page and included an air date for "Rick and Morty" Season 3. According to the site, the third season will be released on April 24.

Fans were initially wary about the information, even though IMDB is a reliable source of information. After facing several disappointments over the expected release of the much anticipated third season, most didn't want to believe that "Rick and Morty" Season 3 will even come out without the release of any information.

Show creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland have previously apologized for the delay in the release of "Rick and Morty" Season 3 and the scarcity of information regarding the series. They assured that the team has started drawing for season 3 and at a comic con event even showed audiences rough sketches of the cartoon.

A report by Konbini hinted that the premiere of "Rick and Morty" Season 3 will be an hour long special. This may be Harmon and Roiland's gift to the fans who have had to deal with an incessant amount of trolling and false hopes in the previous months. The season is believed to have 13 episodes with a dozen of them having 22-minute episodes.

Fans are guessing in the absence of a formal announcement for the plot that the show will pick up from the loose ends left behind by the previous season. They believe "Rick and Morty" Season 3 will pick up from Rick's imprisonment by the Galactic Federation. It remains to be seen whether the Federation will be his allies or will pose an attempt to take over the world.
