‘Overwatch’ Patch Notes: Zarya Can’t Protect Knockback Anymore, Ana Loses Damages For Biotic Rifle; 16 Cities Joining ‘Overwatch’ League Revealed
"Overwatch" patch will feature a lot of changes that are expected to have a significant impact on the game. Incidentally, Orisa has also been released to the game.
In the "Overwatch" PC version's public test realm, the majority of these changes have not been seen yet in the recent weeks, which include a number of nerfs. Among these are Zarya's barriers that can no longer protect against knockback, Bastion's damage resistance Tank or Sentry form drops and Ana's Biotic Rifle that loses some of its damage.
"Overwatch" patch, on the other hand, bring buffs like Zenyatta's alt-fire that has lost its weapon spread and has a decreased cooldown. The cooldown on Winston's Barrier Projector now begins when it is activated instead of when it expires, including Junkrat's explosions that no longer bring self-damage.
Meantime, Sombra is also given several tweaks like the reduction in Translocator's cooldown. The hacked health packs are also now seen by her teammates through walls and enemies would need to be closer in order to hear her exiting or entering stealth.
Incidentally, the changes in Orisa and other characters in "Overwatch" highlight the extent of the new patch, although some adjustments are also noted. Meantime, the full patch notes can be checked out on Blizzard forums, GameSpot reported.
"Overwatch" League is believed to have 16 cities competing around the world. This is based on a tweet published most recently. However, the list has been removed already and was later revealed to be just hypothetical.
Among those listed to be part of the "Overwatch" League are Los Angeles, D.C., New York, Boston, Seattle, Washington, Dallas, Frankfurt, San Francisco, Chicago, Miami, Paris, London, Shanghai, Toronto, Seoul and Mexico City. Meantime, the list was followed by another tweet that gave a clarification that the list was not an official reveal but only hypothetical, Mashable reported.
