A cut scene from FFXV's Chapter 13 featuring Gladiolus and Ignis.

"Final Fantasy XV" players who have been pulling their hair out of frustration on the game's dreaded Chapter 13 dubbed as "Redemption" can finally breathe a sigh of relief as the latest patch for the game went live on March 27 making it bearable for players. Also, fans will get the chance play Noctis' brawny buddy Gladiolus.

Chapter 13's tweaked version features a new path where players can now opt to play Gladiolus on the mentioned level. "Redemption" can now be accessed through "Final Fantasy XV's" main menu provided that players have beaten the game early on. It was even estimated that the updated game level can be done at around 20 minutes as Gladio alongside Ignis look for their pal Noctis, according to Kotaku U.K.

Aside from Chapter 13 getting nerfed and a playable Gladiolus, no further details were added on the new update that some believe that it is a strategy by Square Enix for fans to take Gladio for a test run and decide later on if they will be availing of the "Episode Gladiolus" expansion that will go live on March 28.

Meanwhile, some players have pointed out that the latest patch had bits of political nods onto it. The phrase "alternative facts" was mentioned in a Chapter 13 cutscene where both Ignis and Gladiolus were talking about the crystal. Other gamers allegedly heard the latter stating the phrase "fake news," though, a clip of such has yet to surface online, according to Polygon.

"Final Fantasy XV's" Chapter 13, Verse 2 "For King and Comrade" will still have the same number of quests and level requisites. Both "Zegnautus Keep" and "Reunion and Recovery" quests will reward players with the Sword of the Father and Mark of the Draconian respectively alongside XP bonuses.
