Taeyang Chosen As Brand Model For Lexus NEW LC500h
Taeyang has been chosen as the new brand model for Lexus Korea's hybrid coupe "NEW LC500h." The Big Bang star will come out with an MV in May and a teaser for his self-composed brand song "So Good." Already the new model is being touted as a stunning masterpiece and the 28-year-old crooner simply fits the mold of the latest Lexus car.
The company definitely thinks the YG artist has what it takes to be the new face of the "NEW LC500h." "Taeyang is building his own unique personality and color, which matches well with the LC image, so we planned this collaboration," said Lexus Korea, according to allkpop. GQ magazine pegged the cost of the new model at a starting price of £85,000 and praised the super-coupe as "brilliant" and "ambitious" with only a "few little niggles" that's easily forgivable.
Taeyang was also the face for NBA's 2015 S/S campaign alongside AOA's ChoA. Both artists sported a hip-hop swag for the photo shoot of the global sports brand. The "Eyes, Nose, Lips" crooner appeared in a Nike commercial in 2014 where he was seen skateboarding around the YG Entertainment building and pulling off the vibes that he's "All work and No play." The clip ends with a close up of the sneakers and a reminder that winning's the only rule is to enjoy the process.
According to Soompi, the YG artist also bested the four other Big Bang members when he became the first to appear in a solo commercial in Japan. Taeyang endorsed Japan's street dance association (JSDA) and showcased his smooth dance skills in the CF. JSDA revealed they picked the Big Bang star to be their brand ambassador because of his immense popularity while the "Ringa Linga" singer hoped to "move people's hearts" through his song and dance. His bandmate G-Dragon now appears as the new face of Nike's "KISS MY AIRS" campaign.
