'Tokyo Ghoul' Season 3 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: New Character Is Kaneki In Disguise; Season 3 To Premiere This Summer?

Fans of "Tokyo Ghoul" have long been anticipating its third season this March. However, ever since the third season was announced last year, there has been no news of an actual release date with pundits resorting to speculation that it may finally come sometime this summer.

Very little official information is known about "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3, but it is expected that a new character will be introduced because "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 2 saw the demise of key character Ken Kaneki. It can be recalled that Kaneki was killed by Arima Kishou because Kakuja was unable to help Kaneki in his battle.

According to a fan theory posted on Youtube for "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3, the new character of Haise Sasaki is believed to be the new version of Ken Kaneki. The character will be an investigator and a member of the "Quinx Squad", a special team of CCG investigators. Fans think that he may be a reincarnation of the fallen character because their features are very similar. Sasaki also has black and white hair. Some also believe that Kaneki is not actually dead but was actually taken by Arima to the Commission of Counter Ghoul to give him a new identity.

Another clue that Haise Sasaki could be holding a secret is his inability to remember anything from his past. Fans are excited about how the character will be built up especially if he is Kaneki and doesn't know that he is a ghoul. Fans have been waiting for a long time for "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 but they have constantly been plagued by news of delay. Opptrends has reported a March release but production has remained eerily quiet in terms of releasing official information and materials.

It has previously been reported that "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3's delays were mostly brought about by lack of manpower as most of members of the original team have been transferred to other projects. Last year, it was reported that from Madhouse Entertainment, the project has been transferred to Peirrot Studios, which further added to the delay.
