‘Star Wars: Han Solo’ Update: ‘Sing Street’ Star Ian Kenny Joins The Cast; Movie Will Reveal Han Solo’s Original Name

"Sing Street" actor Ian Kenny Joins Alden Ehrenreich and Emilia Clarke in the "Star Wars: Han Solo" movie.

Another face joins Alden Ehrenreich in the spin-off movie "Star Wars: Han Solo." The star from the "Sing Street" Ian Kenny announced the new cast of the famous Saga prequel.

As of now, no details released about the character of Ian Kenny in the "Star Wars: Han Solo" movie. However, as noted by Screenrant report, regardless of what role, Kenny would get in the prequel, he is still another big addition to the film.

Ian Kenny is known for his standout acting performance in the under-appreciated "Sing Street." He plays the role of Barry in the latter project, a school bully who has changed his heart and befriends the kids in the band. For the actor, his role in the upcoming "Star Wars: Han Solo" movie is one of the biggest shot in his career.

The new "Star Wars: Han Solo" movie will focus on the life of Han Solo before the story of the first movie in the first trilogy started. Revealed by the movie directors, Phil Lord and Chris Miller, Han are in between 18 to 24 years of age on this film, highlighting some important life moments, including how he meet Chewbacca and how he gets the Millennium Falcon.

Another recent news said that Han Solo is not actually Han's original name and in this "Star Wars: Han Solo" movie, the mystery on how he gets this name will be revealed. This information comes from the Disney CEO Bob Iger during a talk at the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business.

"There were some things that happened significantly in Han Solo's life, like acquiring Millennium Falcon and meeting Chewbacca, that will happen in this film. But you will also discover how he got his name." Iger said, pointing about the "Star Wars: Han Solo" movie.

The "Star Wars: Han Solo" movie production started last month at Pinewood Studios in London. The film will release next year, May 25, 2018.
