Samsung Launches Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 Edge+ In South Korea
After suffering from continuous drop on its profit, Samsung has now introduced two of its newest products in South Korea. These are cheaper than previous Note series.
The Note 5, which is based on the 32 GB model, costs 899,800 won ($762.15). The price tag is lower than the first Note in 2011, which costs 957,000 won. The Note 2, on the other hand, costs 1.089 million won and Note 3 costs 1.067 million won. The Note 4 costs 957,000 won.
The S6 Edge Plus is also cheaper at 939,400 won, compared to the smaller S6 Edge at 979,000 won.
The South Korean company has decided to make it cheaper after recording a decrease on its revenue for "seven straight quarters." It has also decided to use sleek aluminum and glass. Plus, it won't offer smartphones that feature removable batteries and microSD slots.
The Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ come with 2.1 GHz Exynos 7420 64-bit octa-core processor, giving users a wonderful experience.
The Galaxy Note 5 will come in different colors: Gold Platinum, White Pearl and Black Sapphire. On the other hand, the Galaxy S6 Edge+ will come in Gold Platinum and Black Sapphire.
The company is also pleased to announce that it has launched Samsung Pay in South Korea, with Apple Pay still waiting to be introduced. The new payment service will have a good impact in the country as Near Field Communication isn't used much. It will provide convenience to the customers as well as retailers. Samsung Pay will also launch in the United States on September 28.
