Apple Acquired Powerful 'Workflow' Automation Tool For iPhone; Now Available For Free In App Store
Apple acquired another powerful tool for iPhone and iPad devices. The automation tool for iOS devices called Workflow allows users to combine functionalities of several iOS apps together to simplify normally complex processes.
According to the source, the Apple finalized the deal with the app developer, however, the financial details are not yet available and haven't been announced to the public. The 'Workflow' developer, Ari Weinstein, speaks about how thrilled and amazed their team to be an official part of the company.
"We are thrilled to be joining the company," Ari Weinstein said. "We've worked closely with the Apple from the very start, from funding our company as students attending WWDC to developing and launching the Workflow tool apps and seeing its amazing success on the App Store. We can't wait to take our work to the next level at Apple and contribute to products that touch people around the world."
In a statement, the Apple also confirmed the acquisition of 'Workflow.' As cited by 9To5 Mac report, the company said that the tool app use of iOS accessibility features is something that really makes is stand out from other services.
The 'Workflow' app was made by a small team lead by the former iPhone jailbreaker Ari Weinstein. It is like IFTTT which allows people to group together a various task that can make them perform complicated actions with one tap. Tech Crunch noted.
Together with the team, Weinstein, Conrad, Kramer, Frey and Nonaka, the 'Workflow' app has been around for a couple of years. The app will continue to be available in the App Store and later this day, it will be available to download for free.
'Workflow' is previously available in the App Store for $3 USD before Apple offers it for free. Weinstein and his team did a great job, not only for themselves but also for the Apple who also benefit from their hard work and appreciate them.
