‘Running Man’ Features ‘2 Days 1 Night’ Star Cha Tae Hyun; Park Bo Gum, Song Joong Ki To Guest Star
The upcoming "Running Man" episode 342 will feature the guest appearances of several South Korean celebrities such as Park Bo Gum and others. Recently, "2 Days 1 Night" star Cha Tae Hyun's participation in the said episode was also confirmed.
"Running Man" episode 342 will have the show's six cast members scrambling to complete their respective missions. Titled "Getting Item Race," viewers will even see Cha Tae Hyun appear in the SBS show.
A source from the variety program told Korean news outlet Xports News that the "2 Days 1 Night" star was contacted by Kim Jong Kook to help him in his mission. The actor's upcoming appearance will mark the first time that he will appear in "Running Man."
Despite the two celebrities' close friendship, Cha Tae Hyun and the said "Running Man" cast member were unable to participate in each other's shows given its same Sunday broadcast schedules. However, given Kim Jong Kook's call for help, Cha Tae Hyun was able to do a quick appearance on the SBS show to assist his long-time friend. At this time, it is still unclear if Cha Tae Hyun met with Kim Jong Kook or if the singer visited the "2 Days 1 Night" star.
Meanwhile, viewers can also expect to see Park Bo Gum in the upcoming "Running Man" episode who was approached by Lee Kwang Soo for his mission. Photo stills from the said episode, as obtained by Donga, showed the two actors talking with each other where one of the images even featured the "Reply 1988" actor with the "Sound of Your Heart" star's name tag on his chest.
Aside from Cha Tae Hyun and Park Bo Gum, other celebrities who participated in the "Running Man" episode includes Song Joong Ki and Jo In Sung whom Lee Kwang Soo contacted via phone. The actor's "Entourage" co-star Park Jung Min also helped the said cast member, while Song Ji Hyo contacted Lee Dong Wook and her brother for the mission.
"Running Man" episode 342 will be released on March 19, Sunday. The said episode was initially scheduled to air on March 12 but was canceled given the special coverage of former President Park Geun Hye's impeachment and exit from South Korea's Blue House.
