Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro is now official after it was silently launched during the Samsung Forum 2017 event that happened in China. The latest smartphone will likely be a favorite of those who love to take pictures of themselves. It contains 16 MP cameras for its front and back optics.

Samsung Galaxy aficionados in China spread the news in social media when it was openly displayed during the event. The revealed unit came in Black, but it is suggested that it would also arrive in Gold, Rose Gold, Champagne and Blue color variants,  Gizbot reports.

Aside from the camera feature, the Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro is said to offer a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1080p screen resolution and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor chip. It will also come with 4GB of RAM and will offer 64GB of internal storage. A micorSD slot expands the storage space up to 256GB.

Reportedly, it will come with a 2600mAh battery that can provide up to 296 hours of standby time, while connectivity includes 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and 4G LTE support. A USB Type-C connector is also included for fast charging as well as a traditional 3.5mm audio port.

The Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro tips the scale at 145 grams and comes in 145.7 x 71.4 x 7 mm measurements.  It is also equipped with a fingerprint scanner for added security. Other reports suggest that the latest smartphone will be ready to ship by March 16 and the company is now taking preorders on its Chinese website for CNY 2,499, approximately $362.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8, meanwhile, is also another well anticipated launch. It is said to arrive with a 4K (3480 x 2150 pixel) resolution with an AMOLED display panel. Technology experts believe that the high display resolution will serve well for virtual reality (VR) purposes, especially if worn for a long period of time, according to a report from  Forbes.

However, the slight problem right now is, VR functionality in smartphones is still in its very early stages and is still not sure if this will really take off or just a hype that will eventually die in the next several years. Furthermore, Samsung is under great pressure from the event that happened last year, and is expected to create the Galaxy Note 8 with the right specifications, making it less combustible.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 specs, however, should be taken with a grain of salt. Watch the Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro commercial video:
