OnePlus 5 News: Top Of The Line Specs To Bring Down Samsung Galaxy S8?
OnePlus 5 is slated to launch with top-of-the-line specs that are expected to directly compete with the Samsung Galaxy S8 in the market. The device is expected to launch with the Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and will feature a dual edged curved display akin to the Samsung Galaxy S7. Moreover, the OnePlus 5 is believed to launch in two variants.
The OnePlus 5 is expected to feature a glass and aluminum body. A USB-Type C connector is also included. Rumor has it that the OnePlus 5 would run on a Snapdragon 835 processor and will feature 6GB RAM and G4GB internal storage, Indian Express reported. In addition, a 128GB internal storage variant may also be launched that may be expanded up to 256GB with a microSD card.
As for the camera, a 16 MP front shooter coupled with a 23 MP rear camera is slated to be featured on the OnePlus 5 phone. A 4000mAh battery may be included with a Dash Charge technology feature for faster charging. The company is yet to reveal the release date and price of the OnePlus 5 but have already confirmed that number 4 in the smartphone series will be skipped.
Meanwhile, news that the Chinese handset manufacturer is skipping the OnePlus 4 has been aligned to the Chinese belief that the number 4 is considered unlucky, Gadgets 360 reported. Furthermore, a report from South Korea also revealed that the OnePlus 5 will take cues from the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Rumor has it that the dual-edged screen will be the highlight of the OnePlus 5 apart from its 16MP selfie camera.
One Plus 5 handset may also roll out with a Ceramic body similar to the Xiaomi Mi MIX. Earlier this month, the company rolled out the OxygenOS 4.0.3 update for its current phones in the market, the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T handsets. The Android 7.0 Nougat also brought optimized Smart WiFi Switcher and increased camera stability. Watch more OnePlus 5 rumors below:
