'Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi' rumored to feature the grave of Luke Skywalker's wife
The hype about "Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi" keeps on growing by the day and it may well seem to stay that way until the film is released in December. As numerous leaks have been spilled as of late about the recently revealed footage of the upcoming film, another noteworthy fan theory about Luke Skywalker's (Mark Hamill) wife surfaced including the possible whereabouts of the Jedi's green lightsaber.
If rumors about Luke's deceased wife - Mara Jade are anything to go by, it is believed that "The Last Jedi" will feature her grave in the ocean laden planet of Ahch-To where Luke went into exile for 30 years. In line with the theory, the iconic green lightsaber is said to be placed nearby Mara's grave "guarding" Luke's beloved, Express reported.
Such speculations arose as keen-eyed fans noticed that Luke's green lightsaber was not in his possession in "The Force Awakens." In addition, toy collectibles of the Jedi that came out previously does not leave a trace of Luke donning the melee weapon.
For those who are unaware, Luke first used the blue lightsaber in "The Empire Strikes Back," though he lost it alongside his arm during his duel against Darth Vader. He then donned the green one on the next film installment - "Return of the Jedi."
Meanwhile, aside from the "who are you" dialogue that Luke blurted out in "The Last Jedi's" teaser, several scenes were also featured when it was shown at Disney's recent earnings call. Such include Luke that seems to be teaching the force-sensitive scavenger Rey (Daisy Ridley) the Jedi ways. The same scene also features the latter lighting up the blue lightsaber as she swings it around, according to Flickering Myth.
There was another scene of Rey that allegedly featured her hands touching the ground as dirt and pebbles are slowly rising up. Also, speculations of General Leia Organa's (Carrie Fisher) scenes being removed from the upcoming film were finally doused as the teaser featured the beloved princess turning for the camera while a hologram of an advancing fleet is right behind her.
The teaser is now expected to be shown at the upcoming Star Wars Celebration this April as "The Last Jedi" is all set for a December 15 release. In the meantime, watch a video about Luke Skywalker here:
