'Attack on Titan' Season 2 News, Spoilers: Chief Director Testsurou Araki Reveals Krista, Ymir Will Be On The Spotlight

"Attack on Titan" season 2 is going to be back on television in April and fans are already excited about seeing their favorite heroes and human-eating giants back on screen. Cheif director Tetsuro Araki shared his thoughts about the second installment of AoT in an interview with ANIPLUS Asia. Araki admitted he was a big fan of the manga as well and shared his views on what fans can expect from the anime's second installment.

Tetsuro Araki had no qualms about sharing his thoughts on what it was like to create "Attack on Titan" season 2. In the interview, he admitted that he was a big fan of the manga and he had been following the story thinking that the anime will be renewed for another installment. On working with the rest of the staff, he shared that he feels confident in the people he is working with including Director Masashi Koizuka. As a fan of the "Attack on Titan" manga, Araki confessed that the developments in the latest chapters kept him excited and he was so happy when some of his favorite characters made it out alive. Every time a new chapter was released, the team were among the first ones to read the manga.

Araki also shared that after completing "Attack on Titan" season 1, there was a scene that he wanted to do. However, he did not expect that it will take four years before AoT released the second season. According to him, one of the big highlights of season 2 will involve Krista and Ymir. The story will take a closer look at these two characters. He also expressed how thankful he was to work on the project and how he fell in love with the story after working on AoT season 2.

Fans have been looking forward to knowing more about the anime's air date. "Attack on Titan" season 2 will start airing on April 1.
