‘Pokemon Go’ 2017 Latest News & Update: Zapdos, Moltres, Articuno, Mewtwo, Mew Confirmed Arriving This Year Sans Legendary Event; Snorlax Event Happening!
Millions of players of the "Pokemon Go" have been patiently waiting for the release of the Legendary pokemon, which never arrived despite the unending clamor about it. Now, new reports are claiming that, aside from Zapdos, Moltres, Articuno, Mewtwo and Mew, other legendary pokemon gamers should watch out for include Lugia, Ho-Oh, Raikou, Entei, Suicune and Celebi.
Forbes reported that "Pokemon Go" characters like Zapdos, Moltres, Articuno, Mewtwo and Mew are confirmed to arrive within 2017 if we based it on the statement released by Niantic. However, the news outlet has made it clear that the Gen 2 legendary pokemon might have their own release date.
With the delay of the Gen 1 legendary pokemon release, fans cannot help but speculate that Niantic could be planning to release Zapdos, Moltres, Articuno, Mewtwo and Mew in live Legendary events. However, Forbes has claimed that this is very unlikely as this might cause a lot of trouble among the "Pokemon Go" players.
"Being that Pokémon GO is a global game with tens, hundreds of millions of potential players, the sheer magnitude of trying to organize dozens, if not hundreds or thousands, of Legendary spawn events around the world is daunting," Forbes' Paul Tassi has explained why it is very unlikely for Zapdos, Moltres, Articuno, Mewtwo and Mew to be released in one of the "Pokemon Go" live legendary events. "And if they don't do that, and there are only a few spawn events globally, then it becomes even more exclusionary if they're asking say, all of America to trek to four or five locations, or everyone in France to go the Eiffel Tower or something."
Up until now, Niantic has remained tightlipped on the official release date of the legendary pokemon. Hence, "Pokemon Go" players should take all these rumors with a grain of salt until it has been proven true and correct.
Meanwhile, Anime News Network has shared that "Pokemon Go" is currently holding a Snorlax Event in Kumamoto, Japan. Players in the area can now have higher chances of spawning Snorlax without even the need of using Poke Flutes to wake up these giant pokemon.
The "Pokemon Go" Snorlax event started on March 4 and is scheduled to end on March 13. Stay tuned to Korea Portal for more "Pokemon Go" news and updates!
