‘Goblin’ Stars Lee Dong Wook, Gong Yoo To Reunite For Fan Event? Actor’s Agency Clarifies Reports
With the successful run of the tvN fantasy series "Goblin," the drama's two lead actors are slated to meet avid fans in a series of meet-and-greet events. Recently, speculations of Gong Yoo's guest appearance in Lee Dong Wook's fan meeting were clarified by the "My Girl" star's agency.
"Goblin," also known as "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God," gave viewers the chance to see Lee Dong Wook and Gong Yoo's amazing onscreen bromance. After starring in the said tvN series, the two South Korean actors' popularity rose to a higher level with several famous brands tapping both celebrities to become product models.
Given the fans' increased interest in the two "Goblin" actors, special fan meetings were arranged that will separately bring Lee Dong Wook and Gong Yoo to various Asian countries. However, some reports claimed that the "Train to Busan" star will be appearing as a guest in his co-star's upcoming Seoul fan meeting.
In a recent announcement made by Lee Dong Wook's agency, as obtained by All Kpop, King Kong Entertainment clarified that the "Coffee Prince" actor appearance in the fan meeting has yet to be confirmed. The entertainment agency also mentioned that the Sistar singer Soyu and comedian Jo Se Ho will be joining the "Goblin" star's Seoul fan event.
At this time, it is still unclear if Gong Yoo will be able to attend Lee Dong Wook's fan meeting. The actor has been busy completing various filming and photo shoot activities for TV commercials and print ads. He is also slated to take a quick rest beginning mid-March before embarking on his own fan meeting tour and starting a new project.
In other news, Lee Dong Wook opened a Naver V app channel ahead of his impending Seoul fan event. In a short clip uploaded on the said channel, as cited by Yonhap News, the actor teased that special footages from his upcoming fan meeting will soon be unveiled on the V app.
Lee Dong Wook's fan meeting will begin with a Seoul event on March 12, to be followed by other meet-and-greets events in Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Japan. Meanwhile, Gong Yoo is slated to meet his Taiwan and Hong Kong fans in a similar event on April 29 and May 6, respectively.
