2PM’s Nichkhun Finally Joins Instagram
2PM's Nichkhun finally broke into Instagram and invited fans to join him at Instaworld. The 28-year-old Thai-American idol announced his official Instagram page Saturday as he uploaded his first Instagram selfie post. He now enjoys 130,000 followers and uploaded four posts, including a video of his visit at the COEX Aquarium Saturday and another video of four eggs under a boiling pot of water for his fill of post-workout protein.
Nichkhun took to Twitter to welcome fans to @khunsta0624 where he promised "to be as active as possible" and became the last 2PM member to open his own Instagram account. Main vocalist Jun.K collected the most followers with 834,000 followed by Junho with 594,000 followers. Taecyeon follows next with 291,000 followers, Wooyoung with 43.5 followers and Chansung with around 40,000 followers. The six-member boy band also launched their official group Instagram @real_2pmstagram last month.
Aside from Instagram, members of 2PM also actively take on other social media platforms to communicate with their fans. Nichkhun and Junho took to Twitter February 28 to uplift each other's spirits as well as show a united front amid a trying situation. Their much-anticipated "6 Nights" concert event, supposed to be their last concert as a complete group, were cancelled after Jun.K's stage accident February 26. Most of the HOTTEST fans worried over Jun.K's condition yet there were also netizens who spread misinformation and malicious comments related to the incident. This provoked the group's management agency JYP Entertainment to threaten legal actions. Junho lightened up the mood when he tweeted, "I hope our Minjunnie hyung will get better to perfect condition as fast as he can!
Stay strong as there are many people that are rooting for you!" Nichkhun put on a solid front when he shared a screenshot of their song "Don't Stop Can't Stop" and tweeted that since they're 2PM, "We're never going down." Jun.K also tweeted Thursday for the first time since the stage accident and promised to get better. He updated fans again Saturday in an Instagram video message where he assured everyone he's "recovering quickly."
