‘Once Upon A Time’ Season 6 Spoilers: What To Expect After Robin's Storybrooke Return, Gideon's Defeat
The battle between good and evil continues as beloved characters of the ABC fantasy series "Once Upon a Time" Season 6 face one challenge after another. Latest spoiler news teased of Regina (Lana Parrilla) and Robin's (Sean Maguire) new life in Storybrooke, as well as an impending fight between Gideon (Giles Matthey) and Emma (Jennifer Morrison).
When "Once Upon a Time" Season 6 returned to the small screens with its midseason premiere, viewers witnessed Regina's successful attempt to bring the Wish Realm Robin back with her to Storybrooke. Aired on March 5, Sunday, the said episode also featured the long-awaited battle between Gideon and Emma which ended with the Storybrooke savior defeating Belle (Emilie de Ravin) and Rumple's (Robert Carlyle) son.
However, avid fans of the ABC fantasy series have yet to see the last of Gideon. In an interview with TVLine, showrunners Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis mentioned that the fight as shown in "Once Upon a Time" Season 6 episode 11 was just a precursor of things to come. Gideon will again attempt to defeat Emma in another tense showdown, according to Horowitz.
However, Belle and Rumple will try to convince their son not to push ahead with his plans. The said situation might also lead to the estranged couple's potential reconciliation. Kitsis teased that romance may again bloom between the said "Once Upon a Time" pair given their shared goal to lead Gideon to a better life.
Meanwhile, Regina and Robin's new arc in upcoming "Once Upon a Time" Season 6 episodes will tackle the secret behind the Wish Realm robber's youth and his presence at Storybrooke. Regina will soon see the complications of her decision to let the Wish Realm version of her deceased beau cross over to the real world, according to Horowitz.
"Once Upon a Time" cast member Lana Parrilla also told Entertainment Weekly that Regina will have a difficult time helping Robin acclimatize to the modern world of Storybrooke. However, the said Wish Realm character's presence in Storybrooke will also confuse Regina. The actress explained, "Every time [Regina] sees him, he looks just like her Robin Hood, but he's not, and so she's a little confused on, how far does she go with this?"
Avid viewers of the ABC series can look forward to upcoming episodes that will further explore Robin and Gideon's respective storylines. "Once Upon a Time" Season 6 airs every Sunday.
