‘Halo 5’ PC Version Can Possibly Happen According To Director; Port Would Not Be Hard To Do
"Halo 5" on PC can happen and it will not be hard to port, according to the director of the franchise.
Frank O'Connor, franchise director of "Halo" series hints that the recent game title, "Halo 5" might come to the PC in the future, according to The Verge. The director was questioned in an interview on the topic of the chance to port the game on PC. He gives big hints that Microsoft is considering it.
"There is plenty of chance that Halo 5 could appear on the PC," said O'Connor. "Nothing to announce at this point, but it's absolutely not out of the bounds of reason."
Microsoft has been pushing to support gaming in Windows 10 and the Xbox One has Windows 10 support too. This could result into something good, according to VG247.
There have been "Halo" games that appeared on the PC. The first one was the twin-stick shooter, "Halo: Spartan Strike", according to Gamespot. The next "Halo" game was a spiritual successor of the first one on PC and that is "Halo: Spartan Assault" on 2013. "Halo: Spartan Assault" was co-developed by 343 Industries and Vanguard Games. The game was set during the time of "Halo 2".
In the past, "Halo" and "Halo 2" was ported to the PC too. Microsoft and 343 Industries decided that the entire collection cannot be ported entirely. The reason was the release of "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" for Xbox One which was launched last year, according to sources.
"Halo 5" on PC might not happen yet in the near future but the game launches on Xbox One this Oct. 7. The game will have a new multiplayer mode which will be called WarZone, according to sources. This mode for the game will support up to 24 players
