‘Arrow’ Season 5 Spoilers: 4 Things To Expect After Prometheus’ Big Reveal
Beloved characters of "Arrow" Season 6 will soon have to face one of their most mysterious opponent in the upcoming episodes of the CW series. The fight between Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Prometheus (Josh Segarra) will soon come to a head as the Team Arrow learn more about the villain's true identity.
"Arrow" Season 5 episode 15 gave viewers a peek of the person hiding underneath the villainous mask of Oliver's enemy Prometheus. With the said antagonist's unveiling, here are four things to expect from upcoming episodes:
Oliver to uncover Prometheus' secret
Oliver and Team Arrow will soon learn Adrian's evil alter ego and the said story development will happen in the upcoming "Arrow" Season 5 episode 16. Titled "Checkmate," viewers can expect a tense encounter between Oliver and Adrian, as well as their respective masked identities, the Green Arrow and Prometheus, respectively. A teaser clip posted on Spoiler TV even showed an intense fight between the two characters with Adrian confident that he can outwit and outfight the Green Arrow.
Prometheus tortures Oliver with Susan
One of the tactics that Prometheus will use against Oliver would be the Star City mayor's girlfriend Susan (Carly Pope). Kidnapping the said journalist, Adrian will torment the emerald vigilante with the threat of killing Susan should anything happen to him in the upcoming "Arrow" Season 5 episode 16.
Segarra told reporters at a recent press event that Susan will play an important role in Prometheus' plan to further torture Oliver and ruin his life, IGN quoted the actor as saying. He added, "Susan may feel betrayed by Oliver ... [Adrian] will try to let's say navigate those waters, how he can get to his next move."
Prometheus story arc will continue to affect Team Arrow
The big reveal of Prometheus' true identity will not only affect Oliver, it will also impact his team. The dynamics within Team Arrow will be in an upheaval following Oliver's public statement that labeled the Green Arrow as a menace.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Amell described the upcoming episode 16 until episode 18 as a bizarre time for Oliver and Team Arrow. He added, "It's a very strange arc for Oliver where we haven't really yet had a chance to examine the way that the Green Arrow, and by extension the team, is going to be able to function."
