Nintendo Switch Only Costs $300 -- But That's Only For The Console Alone

First Look at Nintendo Switch

After five long years, Nintendo will release its newest console -- Switch -- this Friday, March 3. Tagged as a hybrid home and portable console. this gadget is expected to be extra expensive, however, for the price of $300, it's really not. Sad thing is, that $300 is for the console alone.

$300 doesn't really sound much especially if you're taking home a home console and portable console in one. However, if the gamer wants to maximize the use of Switch, he needs to spend more. It's simply because that little price is only for the console which means. it doesn't include the carrying cases, extra controllers, storage, screen protectors, and games.

Basically, Nintendo Switch doesn't come with any games. It's not like the "Wii Sports" in Wii or "NintendoLand" in Wii U. Meaning, it's Switch is a plain console without games. Fortunately, there's no game worth buying with its initial release aside from the much-talked about "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," which costs around $60.

Aside from the games. another expense that comes along with buying Nintendo Switch is having a microSD card. Although the console has built-in 32GB of internal storage, it's barely enough for games. Luckily, the console sports a microSD card reader but still, there is no microSD card that goes with it. But then again. these storages only cost around $20 - $100.

Another cost that buyers will likely experience, as per Business Insider, is buying a new charger for the controllers. This may sound absurd but Nintendo Switch doesn't really have a charger that will let the player charge the Joy-Con controllers while it is being played. Therefore, the player still needs to purchase the $30 piece of plastic that Nintendo is selling.

These are just some of the things that buyers need to consider in case they want to own the upcoming Nintendo Switch. Do you think it's fair and reasonable to own one? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
