"Longmire" Season 6 will pick up filming this month for its final season and actress Katee Sackhoff promises it's going to be "epic." The Netflix contemporary crime drama is based off best-selling author Craig Johnson's mystery novels "Walt Longmire Mysteries." When Season 5 wrapped up last year, viewers couldn't help but speculate at its finale being just like the book series. This leads to the inevitable question: Will Vic and Walt end up together?
The 36-year-old actress Katee Sackhoff, who plays Deputy Victoria "Vic" Moretti in the Western-themed series, fueled excitement among the show's loyal fans as she shared rare production updates on the upcoming finale. Sackhoff took to Twitter January 26 to announce that she just spoke to the producer and announced that "Longmire" Season 6 "is gonna be epic." She even added that she can no longer wait for March to arrive and start filming again. Now that the anticipated month has come, fans can't help but wonder what could be more epic than her character Vic and the Sheriff Walt Longmire ending up together. Co-star Adam Bartley, who also plays a deputy in the Absaroka County, took to Instagram Tuesday to share a photo with some of the cast as well as his excitement on riding horses again in three weeks.
Executive Producers Greer Shephard, Hunt Baldwin and John Coveny promised to reward their loyal fans with "a dynamic and satisfying conclusion" as they craft the 10-episode finale. The Western-themed series used to be home to A&E until it was surprisingly canceled after its third season.
The show's loyal fans launched a campaign to bring it back until Netflix stepped in. Netflix's VP Original Content Cindy Holland expressed the network's pride for being "the home of the 'Longmire' series" as she lauded the trio producers and the cast and crew. Without addressing the question on whether Vic and Walt will end up together, Holland expressed confidence that "Longtime Season 6" "will have a satisfying conclusion to this revered series."
