Elton John's New Album Confirmed; Release Date Announced For Next Year!
British music icon Elton John announces new album titled "Wonderful Crazy Night" which has been confirmed for release in Feb. 5 next year as reported by Billboard.
Following this update, the first single from Elton John's new album "Looking Up" will be released today. John and T Bone Burnett will co-produce "Wonderful Crazy Night" which will be marked as his 33rd album in his musical career. His previous studio release was "The Diving Board" under Mercury and Capitol labels. It peaked at No. 4 in US music charts and No. 3 in his native country UK.
Longtime songwriting partner Bernie Taupin will return to work on Elton John's new album. The two have been working together for almost five decades already. John had first known about Taupin's songwriting work in 1967 when producer Ray Williams handed his lyrics to him, where the former created music and sent it to him - and started a partnership that still endures.
Currently, John has regular performances at The Collosseum at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. His shows have been certified sold-out which made him add another set of dates in the said venue. New dates are scheduled for January and April in 2016 according to Fox 5 Vegas.
John, 68, is one of the best hit-makers in the 70's and 80's that are still active in today's music business. His best songs include "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road," "Candle in the Wind 1997" which he re-wrote from his original 1987 single as a tribute to the late Princess Diana, and "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" which was used in Disney's 1994 film "The Lion King."
To date, John has a total of 31 studio albums, 4 live albums, 16 compilations, and 128 singles in his longtime career. He also composed the official soundtrack for notable films such as "The Lion King," "The Road to El Dorado" and "Gnomeo and Juliet."
