Criminal Minds' Korean Remake To Feature Lee Jun Ki and Moon Chae Won

"Criminal Minds" proved to be a hit in American television and given its popularity, Korea plans to do a remake starring Moon Chae Won and Lee Jun Ki. On Wednesday, Feb. 23, a representative of Namoo Actors said that the two actors are considering a role in the Korean remake of the procedural. The show that focuses on criminal psychology will be coming to Korea soon.

"Criminal Minds" is one of the most successful police procedurals in the U.S. Despite numerous controversies, the show retained a significant viewership. This time, the show is coming to Korea and there were already talks between Taewon Entertainment, Disney Media Distribution, and ABC Studios. The show is currently in pre-production and it is scheduled for release in the fall.

There have been prior rumors that Moon Chae Won received an offer to be part of the Korean remake of "Criminal Minds." Her agency confirmed that she is currently considering the role. Moon Chae Won has been considering what her next project would be ever since she appeared in the drama "Goodbye Mr. Black."

There have been prior rumors that the actress was going to be part of the drama "Bride of the Water God." However, her name did not come up in the list of the confirmed cast members revealed on Wednesday, Feb. 23. As of date, the channel where "Criminal Minds" will air is not yet confirmed. However, it seems that tvN is going to pick up the series and that the show will take a late night time slot.

Aside from Moon Chae Won, it has also been confirmed that Lee Jun Ki is considering the role as confirmed by his agency. In fact, Namoo actors released a statement to the press. "Actors Lee Jun Ki and Moon Chae Won are currently looking into the Korean remake of 'Criminal Minds'."
